Age: That's an impolite question to ask. At least 45, though.
Languages: Hunnic, Callisdrunian, a few Altar Rengian dialects, Latin, Gaelic and others.
Marital Status: Married to Bjorn, Iwak and Thurzo Batory.
Kids: Ilona (next in line for the throne), Istvan, Zsanett and Moric (twins), Anastazia, Thurzo
Residence: The Hearth (Imperial Palace), Sarkanotthon, Imperial Province
Complexion: Ghostly pale with myriad ritual tattoos. Also, some light freckles.
Favorite hobby: Theological research (the Empress is aware of how dorky this makes her sound)
Favorite food: Would probably be referred to as similar to "Steak Tartare."
Favorite Drink: Of the non-sanguine variety, a good brandy or absinthe.
Favorite Movie: Is not very famous outside the Empire.
Favorite thing about their country: "The people" seems the corny, but obvious answer. Besides that, the art.
Favorite Quote: "One's sacrilege is another's sacrament."
How they came to power: Was the first daughter of Madar Batory, therefore automatically the heir unless otherwise specified. Succeeded her mother in 2895 (The Empire does not use the Gregorian or Julian calenders)
Their Quote: "I don't see why we can't be civilized and reasonable." It should be noted that this is often said when the person to whom she's speaking faces a very real threat of execution, banishment, or slavery (including being used in the arena for the entertainment of the masses).
what do I call myself: The Empress, obviously. To friends and family, simply "Ver."
Secret of Success: Many, most of which will remain secret. One is to give offending parties a way out, however, one that involves becoming the state's creature.
If I wasn't leader, I'd: Still be a Priestess of Ithtyr (Vereba is a Priestess Emeritus of Ithtyr's Order)
My hero(es): The Dragoness, of course. Mother, many others.
My Greatests achievements are: Not too much. Keeping ethnic and inter-religious violence to a minimum, getting the High Priestess of Ithtyr to stop saying that Christians, Jews and Muslims were fit for human sacrifice and nothing else, getting various Abrahamic clerics to stop saying that pagans should be burned alive if they won't convert. That sort of thing. Often by telling the latter to be civilized and reasonable.
My future achievements will be: Similar things. Public works projects, perhaps a small war or two to add some provinces.
What is best about my country: Besides the favorite thing? Unsure, but it seems to have become a tourist destination. It isn't clear if they're coming for the art, the architecture, the history, the culture, the food or the sex. There must be something good about it.
